Social responsibility
The conditions under which consumer goods are manufactured in developing and emerging states are the subject of increasing debate in the discussion of human rights.

This is why, in 2003, the Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI) was founded, intended to develop a common European programme for social standards.

Betz Holding is a BSCI member and has therefore entered into the commitment to implement corresponding requirements with regard to social responsibility all along the supply chain. Wherever we can, we stand up for the following, among others:

  • Freedom of association and the right of collective bargaining
  • Prohibition of discrimination on any or all grounds
  • Wages that meet the minimum statutory requirements, i.e. applicable industrial standards
  • Humane working hours and overtime regulations
  • Measures to ensure health and safety at the workplace
  • Prohibition of child labour
  • Prohibition of slave labour and disciplinary measures
  • Consideration of environmental and safety aspects
